It took some time to tally the votes, but the results are in for the Bi-Annual Jimmy Awards. This year, the Jimmy's will be presented to the top 10 albums of the year in two categories. For one of the categories, NLG commissioned the help of a very special guest judge, longtime No-Look-Gunner Doc Roberts. And what great job he did. Using a highly subjective and cryptic set of criteria, Dr Roberts came up with a selection of choices that were so unique to the selections of NLG that it only seemed fair for the Doc to have his very own category. Without further ado, here are the awards:
Doc Roberts' "The 10 best albums of situational/emotional relevance that doesn't necessarily mean they are stylistically/musically the best just the best albums of the year" category:
1. Beirut - The Rip Tide
